“Thank you, guys. Take a day off or two,” I dismissed Owen and Homer as I took off my jacket and placed it on the armrest.

“I’ll be right back.” She looked tired as she went upstairs.

Once the main door shut, I followed Maverick to her bedroom. “Baby?”
