Ciara's POV

I stood to the side and watched as Orion and his Beta put their things into the car in preparation for their one-month trip.

"do you want to come with me?"

Orion had asked me to come with him and it had come as a shock to me when he asked. Yes things between us have been incredible since we got married and this trip would have been quite the adventure and would have probably brought us closer but I couldn't just drop everything and go with him.

Grandfather was still in the hospital. Although his health was picking up every day, he was the Old Man Heartfield I remembered or the one everyone knew and loved. He had become a shell of the man he used to be. It pained me to see him like that but it pained me more to see Grandma Grace suffering.
