Chapter 12. A Complicated Arrangement

Silvia POV

My fingers kept playing with the sash around my waist, pulling it tighter even though it was already as snug as it could get.

This whole situation felt way more awkward than I’d expected.

The hotel suite was fancy but subtle - the kind of place that whispered money instead of shouting it.

One entire wall was just glass, showing off the city lights below us like a sea of stars.

I could spot the hospital building, which was actually kind of reassuring. At least Alpha Sherman had picked somewhere close to Noah.

When I looked back at Alpha Sherman, his eyes were still on me.

He hadn’t stopped staring since I’d walked out of the bathroom.

This weird silence stretched between us. I walked across the cool floor toward him, my heart beating faster with each step. Guess it was time to fulfill my end of our bargain.

As I leaned toward him, reaching for his shoulders, he caught my wrists.

“What are you doing?” he ask
