Chapter 53. Jealous

Elena's POV.

We got to the training center, "Elena, Derek called out, and my heart beat faster. I raised my head up to see him, his face was neutral, and I gave him a smile.

"Sir," I responded, my voice clear.

"I don't quite understand this," he said, passing me my book. "Meet me at my office to explain," he added in a firm voice, and I nodded, swallowing hard.

I took my book from him, and he walked away, leaving me feeling confused and worried. I stared at the book, there was nothing wrong, I did the assignment as he had said. I had double-checked it, triple-checked it, and I was confident that I had done it right.

I really wanted to have good grades this semester, not for me, but for Derek. I didn't want him to say that our relationship was a distraction, that I was not focused on my training because of him. I wanted to prove to him that I could handle both my training and our relat
