Chapter 97. Disagreement

Elena's POV.

Derek dropped me off at the house, and we shared a sweet goodbye kiss. "Thanks,"I said, my face inches from his.

He smiled and kissed me again before I stepped out of the car. I knocked on the window, and he rolled it down.

"Don't miss me too much,"I teased, winking at him. He chuckled and replied, "Okay, if you say so."

I watched as he drove away, waving at him with a smile. Then, I turned around and pushed open the gates, knowing my father would be upset that I returned a day later than expected. But I didn't care - I had spent the night with Derek, and that's all that mattered.

As I walked inside, I passed Thomas, Anna's brother, and raised an eyebrow in surprise. What was he doing here? I shrugged it off and continued on, entering the room where my father was waiting. But instead of the scolding I expected, he greeted me with a warm smile.

"Ah, here comes my pride!"
