I woke up with a start and sat upright, disoriented and confused. Looking around, I quickly realized I was back in my room, but how? The last thing I remembered was looking into Yelda's eyes and hearing my name called.
My mates? Where were they?
Panic began to gnaw at me. How did I get back here? I struggled to remember, but my head throbbed with a painful intensity that made my thoughts scatter like dry leaves in the wind. Raising a hand to rub my temples, I dared to glance at my reflection in the mirror. I looked disheveled, fear etched into my features, and I frowned at the raw vulnerability staring back at me.
I had to find Rylan and understand what had happened. Where was everyone?
