Chapter 170

Simone sat down with Elaina and Cedric by their porch after eating a bountiful dinner. Her belly was protruding from her skirt. It had been so long since she got fed that much before. Elaina had invited her to dinner after such a long day at the shop. She couldn’t refuse, mostly because she had been the one hammering on dinner with them.

Cedric laughed at something Simone said. “That is so hilarious. I didn’t realize the Dark Moon Pack had such incredible talents to them,” he said.

Smiling to herself, Simone relaxed into her chair. She had thought up an imaginary joke as regards the Dark Moon Pack, all in a bid to get Cedric into a conversation with her. Elaina, on the other hand, seemed to be in discomfort, which had been Simone intentionally putting sleeping powder in Elaina’s wine.

“You are beginning to fall asleep, Elaina,” Simone said, calling Cedric’s attention.

But he paid Elaina no mind and kept sipping his wine. Elaina jolted from her sleep, yawning.
