Chapter 49
Mona had a lone look on her face. She had been crying all night, wondering why her life was in shambles. She wanted to see her parents really bad; only they knew just what to do to console her. It was already past noon, gearing towards evening, and she still hadn’t gotten out of bed.
The fear of having to see Alpha Dylan got the best of her, and all she wanted to do was hide somewhere far away and never have to show her face. Guilt got the better part of her when she had given Sansan the cold shoulder this morning.
Probably, Mona secretly blames Sansan for having such a deep sleep when she needed her the most. Thoughts of maybe if she hadn’t gone to the woods, she wouldn’t have had to encounter the said alpha. At the same time, Mona knows deep within her that it’s not Sansan’s fault.
Sitting up on the bed, fresh tears flowed down her face. She missed her parents so much. The letter she had promised to write to them had been pending because of her mood. Mona’s world
