A mixture of emotions battled for recognition on Elaina’s face. She couldn’t tell what exactly to feel as she read through the content of the letter sent to her by Beta Foden. What she wasn’t expecting as the day was nearing its end was anyone bringing a distant-looking Simone to her doorstep.

After dropping her friend off, the guards handed her the letter and left immediately. In the letter, Foden admonished Elaina to keep a close eye on Simone and ensure things that could cause damage to life shouldn’t be near her. As Simone was prone to commit suicide.
