Chapter 109. Perfect in Everything

Wayne added ingredients and whisked the eggs in a small bowl. He left them for a moment to take the toast out of the toaster. Olive watched as he took fresh bread from its package, poured the whisked egg over the slices, and flattened them with a bread knife.

“Are you gonna keep watching me or come here and give me a good-morning kiss?” Wayne spoke up without turning to look at her. She peered at his busy hands and gasped.

“You can cook?” she asked.

“What I wanted was a kiss, not a question,” he stated with a frown. Olive smiled and walked up to him. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

“Good morning,” she said, and he smirked.

“You finally don’t look like Eve,” he replied. Olive gulped and stepped back from him.

“Why didn’t you put a dress or pajamas on me?
