Chapter 68. Little Light
~3RD PERSON'S POV~
“Mr. William…” Marie said softly, hearing the sounds of the sticks and bricks as they hit his body. The pounding and the smell of blood as it filled the air were unbearable, and the yelling of the people around William didn't help matters.
Marie let out slow, deep breaths, and a white aura started to envelop her body. It rose from her skin like steam, and she pressed both hands against her head as she felt a head ache build up.
She groaned in pain, her canines growing into fangs and her nails into claws. The white aura around her grew brighter, and everyone in the crowd turned to her with shock on their faces.
The sound of William's heartbeat suddenly stopped. A teardrop rolled out of Marie's eyes, and as it hit the ground, she exploded.

“You didn't have to do that." Marie said softly, playing with her fingers. Both she and William were now on a coach carrying them to the Mortimer district.
