Chapter 54

Wedding Announced

With a very loud scream, I falls from the ceiling and lands on a bed. I hurry out of the bed and walk around searching for Matilda to no avail. 

“Weird. She’s supposed to be here. She left before me” I mumble as I rush out of the room screaming, “Matilda, Matilda where are you?” I move slowly until I reach a compound. 

“Where the hell am I? This is...” I stood in shock with my mouth widely open.

“Eve!” Maryline screams when she turns around and see me standing by the door leading to the living room. 

“What took you so long?” she rushes and hugs me. But I’m dumbfounded with my eyes still wildly open.  

Eve is so shocked that she doesn’t return the hug and Maryline notice it “Eve, what’s wrong?” she wonders as she free me from the hug. 

“Eve?” she yells my name and shudders out of her deepest thought. 

“I’m fine Maryline. I just need to rest?” I lie.
