Chapter 77

Where Is Eve?

The day was gradually rising and this weird urge to rush back to the palace was growing stronger and stronger in me and I knew something wasn’t going right. Perhaps Eve was in trouble or something else, but whatever the case, I had to rush home. 

I was far from the palace. It took me a long time to find my way. However, somehow, I still manage to find my way and now I’m standing in front of the gate, eagerly waiting for the door to be open. It takes longer than before for the gate to be open since no guard is standing by the gate.

I realise this when I push the gate and it opens and I see no one standing by either inside or outside. Strange, I murmur to myself. I’m about to yell but I notice a huge crowd gathered, keenly watching something that intrigued me. So I rush into the crowd and in my presence, they pave a path in-between as they all shift to the side as I move further. I can feel their weird stare at me and it’s saying something tragic.<
