Chapter 19. Lost and Alone

Ivy's POV

I wrapped my arms around myself as the cold night wind brushed against my bare arms. In my hurry to leave the car, I'd forgotten to bring my coat.

But the chilly air was the least of my concerns as I walked down the sidewalk towards home. My brain was reeling from what just happened, and more than anything, I felt ashamed of myself.

I had a problem, and I wanted more than anything to solve it. How come I ruined it all again by myself? Sean was right, he did not force me to have sex with him. I could have ignored his stinging words and left the car. Instead, I let him goad me into giving it to my desires, and where did that leave me?

If I wanted to solve this, I could not afford to go on like this. I'd even made plans with another guy, but what did I do in the end?
