Cassie’s POV

I saw myself running in the middle of the night. I am sweating so much, and I cannot feel the lower part of my body because maybe I am too exhausted.

I have no idea why I am running this fast, why I am so afraid, or who these creatures are trying to chase me down.

I ran into a thick branch of a tree and managed to hide for a while. I took some mud from the ground and put it on my body. If they are werewolves like me, they have an incredible sense of smell.

"You can hide, little lamb! But don't you dare think that you can escape from me?" That voice is not familiar, but I have no idea why it does give me an extreme shiver down my spine.

I close my mouth using my arms. He is dangerous; if he manages to catch me, he will surely kill me, but why? Who is he?
