A panting, sweat-dripping, and naked Devin showed up at the mouth of the cave. “What happened here?” He surveyed the area and sighted no enemies.

“Not now. I’ll explain later.” Valen was too busy panicking with me in agony to dive into details. “Let’s go back.”
