Valen’s POV
Letting the thrumming bond guide my teleportation, I ended up at the entrance of the hospital, where a crowd had gathered.
A deep growl from me parted them instantly, and I strode towards my mate in large, urgent steps. The Worgen followed my shimmer but was mindful of keeping some distance from me.
“Babe,” I breathed, noticing her huddled form in my Theta’s arms.
“Take her to your Mom. She needs to be checked,” Jason advised frantically, allowing me to take her into my arms.
My chest ached with more than broken ribs at the sight of her tear-stained figure curled in my arms, feeling her skin cold as ice against mine. Her lips, chapped and rimmed with a frostbitten white, trembled. Slight frost coated her arms and legs.
