Max’s POV

I woke up only to not find Andrea beside me on the bed.

Where could she have gone? I thought as I sat up, the room was dark and the lights hadn’t been switched on.

I got out of bed, walking perfectly to the switch to turn the lights on.

I stood still when I saw her sitting on the couch staring at me.

“My gosh, you scared me,” I said.

“I can see that the cramp has totally disappeared,” she said as she walked towards me.

I had totally forgotten about my leg, I thought as I looked at her in shock.

“Why did you lie to me?” she asked, looking a bit hurt.
