Andrea’s POV

I got into the house only to see my mother in the kitchen.

She had a worried on her face and though she tried to mask it by giving me a smile, I know that she couldn’t do it.

“Hello Mom.” I greeted.

“How is work today?” she asked.

“Work was kind of great,” I said softly.

“I heard from Mary that you met Jack again,” she said as I sat on the empty chair beside her.

“Yes I did.”

“And?”

“And nothing, we went out for dinner and talked of old times, do you know that he has a son too?” I said.

“A son?”

“Well not that the boy is his biological child, he adopted the kid,” I said.

“That’s so nice of him and speaking of kids, Mary has been feeling down, she hasn’t come out of her room, ever since she came back.” My mom said and I sighed softly.

“Why don’t you just tell her the truth? Be honest with her and tell her why you don’t want her to dance,” She said.

“I doubt if Mary would understand
