The following day it filled me with immense joy and happiness. I was so excited when I ordered some Chinese food and asked Alana if she wanted to have a chat. There were no more steps to take. I was so close to my family.

Maddie and I were more connected than ever before as she talked to me about the troubles she had faced and the hopes she held for the future. She really missed me. We could finally look at each other and recognize our true selves, and it gave me an overwhelming feeling of contentment and joy that had been absent for such a long time.
