Chapter 53

Elyana's POV

"When was the last time you had your period?" the doctor asked me while I was lying down on an elevated bed.

"I think two weeks ago—I'm not so sure," I answered, and after a few seconds, I realized. "Oh, it was only last week, doctor," I said, changing my previous answer.

"Hmm...you're about to reach your ovulation period based on your chart," she replied while looking at the monitor that calculated all the data I gave her about my menstrual cycle.

"This won't hurt," she uttered, as she slowly inserted a device inside me.

I could feel the device moving in, but there was no pain more like a tiny tickle.

"I will take some samples now," she informed me.

After taking the samples she needed, she handed a vial to a nurse

who was with her, and she left by entering a door. It was not the route to go outside, but somewhere else.

Another door on the other side suddenly opened. "W-what are you doing to my best friend, Chelsea?"
