Chapter 51

Two weeks have passed quickly since Gabby moved in with Caleb and me.

While Gabby is at home, I prefer not to be at home, and if I want to be with my son, I have my assistant pick him up.

I knew that this would happen. I invited her because my son needed his mother, but because of what was happening, I couldn't give my full attention to my son.

"You're drinking again?" I heard a voice behind me, and even though I didn't turn around to see who it was, I knew that voice very well.

"You know what? This is entirely your fault," I said to my best friend Isahiah. I didn't even bother to look at him, and I just continued drinking.

I'm still at work, and even though office hours have already ended, I'd rather stay and go home when it gets late.

"What did I do this time?" He asked irritably, sitting closer to where I was sitting.

I didn't respond; it was up to him to ponder what he had done to make me this way.
