Chapter 188

Jacob twisted and turned as he yawned widely.

He opened his eyes as he felt much better. Recalling what had happened earlier he was just glad to have survived. 

He sat up as his eyes fell on Mia who slept on the sofa.

He tightened his robe as he walked towards her. 

Scooping her gently he took her to the bed.

“What are you doing?” Mia asked as she frowned lightly.

“Taking you to your bed where you should be” Jacob replied.

Mia did not protest as Jacob lay her gently.

“Are you aware you could have died if I did not not call Mr Victor?” Mia asked.

“Well, we did come back alive” Jacob said.

“Yes, but a greater percentage of the men you want with, did not come back alive” Mia said.
