I decided my parents didn’t have to know about the bear, and for the first time in a few days, both Conor and Brigitte spent the night with me. Maybe they were wearing my parents out.
On Sunday, we called and spoke to Martin.
“Do you want us to show up tonight, kind of get settled, or should we just come on Monday morning after you leave for work, Martin?” I asked.
“Tonight is fine.”
“Are you still okay with this, Martin? You haven’t accepted money. You can still back out.”

“I understand. Is it okay if we go nude about your place, or would you prefer us to wear something.”
