"How long have you been here?" Emma asked.

Edmund blinked stiffly, afraid of being kicked out. "Recently."

"Do you want me to check the CCTV?" Emma raised an eyebrow.

Edmund took a deep breath. "Can't I wait here? I promise I won't show up in front of Alice. I just want to be near them. I won't be a bother; I'll just sit still here."

Emma placed one hand on the car, her expression serious. "You remember that you also have a life, right? You're a CEO. You have a lot of things to take care of, including your own health."

"I know. Don't worry. I've brought my own needs—water, food, clothes. I even took a shower before coming here."

"And that?" Emma pointed to the small backpack on the next seat where a green teddy bear sat. "You intend to meet Sky?"
