Chapter 13

Anna’s POV

It felt like I’d just opened my whole heart to the one person I wasn’t supposed to. But there was no going back now. This was it. Now or never.

Ryan still looked shocked. Just staring at me like he didn’t know what to say, like he couldn’t believe I said that out loud.

I forced myself to speak. My voice was quiet but firm. “So… are you in or not?”

His jaw tightened. His eyes dropped to my lips. Then he groaned softly and leaned forward, pressing his forehead against mine, like he was fighting a war inside himself.

“I’d really love to, Anna. Fuck, I’d love to. But…”

“No buts,” I whispered, cutting him off.

I could feel how hard he was through his pants. It was pressing right against my thigh, thick and hot and impossible to ignore. So I reached down, my hand tracing the bulge slowly, my eyes still locked to his. I gave him a small, shaky smile.

“Let me fix this for you.”

He raised a brow, frowning just a little.
