Chapter 65
Anna’s POV
Three days after the whole fiasco that happened in the ward room, it was finally time for me to get discharged from the hospital. I couldn’t say I wasn’t relieved. The new doctor who took over after Dr. Kellan left, said I was okay now, that my wounds had healed and my vitals were fine. And honestly, I felt okay. My head didn’t hurt as much anymore, and the dizziness had almost gone. The only thing that still felt strange was how quiet everyone had become about that day. No one wanted to talk about it. It was as if the whole thing had been erased, like we’d all collectively decided to pretend Ryan’s body never changed.
I pressed my hands to my temples, trying to convince myself it was just a hallucination. “It couldn’t have been real,” I murmured. “I must’ve been daydreaming or something…”
