Liana’s POV
I felt better now. My body wasn’t burning anymore. No more shaking or feeling like I was on fire. I was just tired, sore, and… calm. Killian laid beside me, gently stroking my arm. His other hand reached up to peck my forehead.
I traced lazy little circles on his bare chest with my fingers, trying to process everything. This man who had ruined me in every possible way now felt like the only solid thing in my world.
“Liana,” he said quietly, voice low. “Can I ask you something?”
“Hmm?”
He looked down at me, brushing my hair from my face. “Did you always know?”
My finger paused. “Know what?”
He exhaled slowly, another kiss on my forehead. “The truth about me. Did you know? And just never said anything?”
