Killian’s POV

I drove like a madman while my phone kept buzzing, I knew who it was, knew what it was, so I ignored it.cz The whole world was probably burning already.

When I got to Logan’s Hotel Lodge, I didn’t even take a second to breathe. I went straight to the top floor, knocked hard on the door, and before I could even adjust my tie, the door flew open.

Two pairs of eyes glared at me like they wanted to eat me alive, Logan and Steve. And yeah, I expected it, but it still pissed me off.

“Killian, what the fuck is going on with you?” Logan growled the second the door closed behind me.

I didn’t say a word.

Steve stepped forward. “The company’s stock is dropping by the second. Do you even understand what that means? Investors are already pulling out. We’re barely holding on here. And that’s not even the worst part.”

“They want you out,” Logan added. “Not just from the CEO seat. They want you out from the alpha campaign too.”
