Liana’s POV

By the time we got back home, I was still trying to catch my breath from everything that had happened earlier. My hand kept touching the ring like I still couldn’t believe it was real. I mean, how could I? One minute I was eating steak, and the next minute I was engaged to the man I never thought I’d get back.

But before I could even fully settle into that feeling, I heard Ryan’s voice echoing from the living room. He was already back, his little voice carrying so much excitement as he chatted with Omega Agnes. I could hear him going on and on about something, and the moment we stepped in, I saw him sitting on the couch with Agnes beside him, her head tilted in that patient way she always had when he was telling one of his endless stories.

“…and then Daniel said he’ll be bringing his mom and dad, but I told him I have mine too now! I have a dad now!” Ryan said excitedly, not even realizing we’d entered.
