I didn’t see that one coming. How did I end up between Hawa and Zayate? Was I really going to be stuck between two women? Yes, because I couldn’t abandon my child. I promised myself my children would never have to grow up like I did, wondering where their father was. I thanked God for the mother He gave us, but what about Hawa, who I couldn’t live without? I freaked out when she said she wanted to end our marriage. I had grown so close to her lately and discovered what a wonderful person she was—so generous, so patient, always putting others before herself. That’s her biggest flaw; she doesn’t fight for anything other than her passion, which is good, but is it enough in life? I think not. She’s given enough, and now I’d like to be the one to return all the love she never stopped giving to others without expecting anything in return. As for Zayate, I didn’t know if things could ever go back to the way they were. She had completely disappointed me.
