Chapter 49. Change

It was already six in the afternoon when I finished all of my business appointments for the day. I thought Winter had already left, but as I reached the company lounge area, I saw her lying on the couch. 

I walked towards her. "Winter."

When I removed her sunglasses, that's when I found out she was actually sleeping. 

She really waited for me all day, as she promised. I thought she would get tired and leave me, but she didn't.

"M-Matthew!" she got up as soon as she saw me. "Are your meetings done already? Please, if you still have meetings to attend, just move them to tomorrow. I've been waiting here all day, and all I ate was that chicken sandwich and caramel coffee from the pantry!" she complained to me like a kid. Her hair was already messed up she really look like she has just woken up.

I couldn't help but let out a soft laugh as I pat her head. "It's done. We can go home now."
