Jeremy’s POV
I inhaled deeply, and told myself not to pick his call with the anger pressing against the back of my throat.
I picked.
“You left yesterday without notifying me.” He accused lightly.
“Yeah, where are you?” I asked. He had no idea how hard I was trying to keep my cool.
“My office. Dante finally called—he has summoned a meeting for all lords in Los Alamos. And you should know they are frowning at your decision to leave Bianca. They know about you and Teyana. Do you have a change of mind yet?”
“I’m on my way.” That’s all I said before ending the call.
The inside of the car suddenly felt too quiet. If my arm was good, I would be ending up in the ring tonight—to fight all these frustrations away. God, I missed the ring a lot.
