Morning light poured gently through my thin curtains, dragging me fully out of sleep. What made me stay awake wasn’t the light—it was the quiet rise and fall of Jeremy’s breathing beside me.
My eyes fluttered open, hazy but content, and the first thing I saw was his back. Broad. Warm. Familiar. His muscles shifted subtly with each breath, the faint movement making the ink on his skin seem alive.
