Chapter 259. Backup

Alexander didn’t hesitate, he started the car engine and reversed as fast as he could. But before he could even start driving, we saw that the black SUVs had already been blocked by a new set of policemen who were already on their way.
“That’s strange,” Alexander muttered under his breath as he put the car to a stop. “I have no idea who those people are unless the other officers called for backup.”
It was a good thing they came because they were able to stop the men. We watched from a distance as they brought them out of their cars and handcuffed them.
Some of the other policemen we had followed earlier finally drove out of the gate and stopped where the black SUVs were blocked.
I didn’t see any sign of Riley as they brought out the men from the SUV’s. “Alexander, turn around and drive to the house. What if they left her there?”
