After spending some hours sitting beside her, I came back to my room when it was time for her to wake up, not having the strength to face her.
“My butterfly” Tears welled up in my eyes, remembering how she used to look up at me in our childhood in the hope I would always protect her. I still remember when Gabriel was bullying her and I fought with him for her, she told me how much she trusted me and I would always protect her and like always, I failed her.
I punched on a wall to punish myself, fuming in anger after remembering her tears and the marks on her body. She did all this to save me and her family and what we did? We fell to protect her. She lost herself in everything. Tears fell from my eyes remembering how she was crying while sharing her pain.
“Christian” I heard Aaron's voice who ran towards me.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He groaned, seeing the blood on my knuckles.
"I failed, Aaron... I failed to protect
