Chapter 42. Surprise for You

I looked at my phone when Stefan called me. I sighed and picked up the call knowing he would keep calling me until I picked up his call.

"If I'm not picking up the call then you should understand I'm not in the mood to talk, Stefan" I frowned.

"Ohh... I'm sorry... we didn't talk the entire day. I just got free, that's why I thought to call you." He mumbled. I tightened my lips realising I was letting out my frustration on him.

"I'm sorry."

"I miss you" His words were enough to bring a smile to my face.

"I miss you too" I replied and then sat on the bed.

"What happened? My baby seems to be a little upset,” he asked. I opened my mouth to tell him about my encounter with Half-wit but then closed it, unsure how he would react.

"No---nothing" I closed my eyes realising I stuttered which might have pissed him off. He hates it when I stutter.

"It's not in my hand, Stefan. You have to accept I stuttere
