Chapter 102

Leila felt a shiver all over her body when she heard the howls. She doesn’t know what it means, but she is sure of one thing—it means doom, and she is not stupid to investigate it further.

Leila continued her escape until she found a cave. She observed first, making sure there was no danger inside.

“It’s safer to hide than be exposed to the rogues who are hiding here in the woods,” Leila murmured before entering the cave.

The cave that Leila entered was silent. There was no sign of any life there except the crickets. “No one is following me... I wonder what happened to the black wolf? With his size, I am certain he is not just an ordinary rogue,” Leila murmured while the wolf from earlier was still in her mind.

Exhausted, Leila allowed her body to rest. She leaned against the cold cave and closed her eyes. “I wish this was just a dream...” she uttered before falling asleep.
