Bradley stood up when he heard a gunshot on the other side.

“Leila! Leila! What is going on?!”

“Why? What trouble has she gotten into now?” Arnold asked jokingly. Since he knows how close Leila is to turmoil, anything won’t surprise him.

“She’s not answering! But I heard a gunshot!” Bradley asserted, then he listened to the phone again, trying to find any clue about what was happening on the other line.

Bradley focused his attention on the phone. He could hear crackling noises, and gunshots followed.

“Bradley, what is going on? What happened to Leila?” Luna Maurice asked. She stood in her chair and approached Bradley.

“Damn it! I need to find her!” Bradley remarked, as he quickly stood up.

“Wait! I’m coming with you!” Arnold immediately followed Jacob’s fast walk.

Meanwhile, in the forest’s expanse, Leila was running fast, gripping the arm that was hit by a bullet.

“I need to find a place to hide... Bradley must have he
