Caliana’s POV
The days that followed slipped by quietly, blending into one another in a way that felt both peaceful and unsettling. On the surface, everything appeared normal. I fulfilled my duties as Luna, attended meetings, visited the hospital, checked on the staff, and ensured that Love’s routines stayed intact. Yet beneath that careful structure, my wolf paced restlessly, claws scraping against the inside of my chest, urging me to run.
She wanted the forest.
She wanted the wind rushing past our fur, the ground pounding beneath our paws, the freedom that only came when we surrendered to instinct. Every morning I felt the pull, the call of my favorite trail, the familiar path that led to the clearing where I could breathe without thinking. But I resisted. I had stopped going there entirely.
