My heart ceases as he gets in bed with me, his blazing eyes fixed on me. His scent consumes me, and I almost cover my nose to keep from smelling his intoxicating scent. We are lying, facing each other. The bed is too big, but somehow, we are close. I can feel his body heat against mine.

My body involuntarily moves against him, wanting more of his warmth and... maybe love. Nicholas is calm, just staring at me, studying my eyes.

“You are supposed to sleep on the couch,” I whisper finally.
