Chapter 63. Evade
The reddish yellow light had appeared to shift the moon, birds chirped to welcome the dawn, and people in the hemisphere exposed to its rays were doing their activities as usual, just like Gery.
"How is this? If I go to the office, Eve will mock me like yesterday. Still, if I come, there will be a lot of work delayed," Gery muttered while pacing in front of the mirror. "Should I ask Arnold to bring the files I need to take care of home? Ah, no. Grandma would scold me," Gery added.
The man needed clarification. How should he behave in front of Eve later? Gery was still not ready to be bombarded with so many questions by Eve. Finally, the man decided to come to the office early in the morning before his employees. Gery deliberately came before so as not to cross paths with Eve.
"This will definitely work!" Gery muttered as she opened the door to her office. She sat in her chair and stared at the pile of files.
