Morning arrived sooner than expected, as the sun’s gentle rays permeated the room through a slender gap in the curtains, caressing my face. Instinctively, I sought refuge in the warmth of Jacob’s neck, eliciting a playful chuckle that assured me of his wakefulness.
“So you’re awake,” I mumbled, my voice laden with fatigue and grogginess.
How could I possibly summon any energy when Jacob had effortlessly drained every ounce of it from me the night before? My lower abdomen still throbbed, a testament to his unwavering vigor. The man was made of steel…everywhere.
“Yeah, I’ve been up for a while,” he replied, tenderly tracing small circles on my back while planting kisses on my shoulder.
“Aren’t you tired?”
I was genuinely curious. How could I feel utterly depleted while he radiated tenfold more energy, considering he had been the one responsible for our passionate escapades?
