A few hours felt like an eternity. I was acting like a desperate puppy, and I didn’t know what was wrong with me.

Had I always been crazy about Jacob, or was this new? I couldn’t tell, but his presence meant a lot to me. I wanted him close all the time and even found excuses to keep him from going to the gym.
