Chapter 27

LYDIA’S POV:-

After what doctor has said about the condition of Mathew, I released the breath I was holding all this time, it was horrible to see him like that. Thank god he’s fine and nothing’s danger. I was walking towards the exit as I got a call from the office, I just forgot to inform Mr. Jackson, the head of the leading business magazine of New York, about Mr. Mathew. He had the meeting with Mathew today but this happened. I must go and apologise to him before he does something, he can be a very impatient man.

As I was walking towards the exit, I stopped dead in tracks when I saw Simon walking inside with a serious expression on his face. I gulped hard as I noticed his eyes move around and finally landed on me.

I blinked in confusion and tried to swallow the lump formed in my throat, I walked towards him with calculative steps and stopped with a good distance between us.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, I was tense and scared but I didn’t let it show
