Camilla’s POV

About a week had passed since Raphael got back from California. Things were good between us. It had taken a lot for me to tell him how I felt. I honestly wanted to drag everything out but I was glad we took care of everything immediately. The last thing I needed was something other than my grandpa to worry about.

My grandpa still hadn’t shown any signs of waking up. It was a struggle waking up every day hoping to get good news only to be disappointed. The board was getting worried. Media outlets were publishing different stories. I couldn’t even go out without being harassed for answers.

I decided to take time off work. The board strongly suggested I did. I took their advice because I couldn’t mask it anymore. I didn’t know what to do if I lost him. Thankfully, the running of the company was still going smoothly.
