Chapter 146. A Magical Moment

I felt my heart pounding erratically, anxiety dominating my thoughts as I awaited Manuela's reaction. Her eyes were locked onto mine, but I couldn't decipher what she was thinking. The uncertainty was consuming me, but I remained firm, determined to go all the way for what I desired: to have Manuela with me again.

"I..." she began, seeming unsure, "I don't know what to say."

I noticed Manuela looking at the people surrounding us and felt the need to explain their presence.

"Manuela, these people aren't here to pressure you into accepting me. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I want everyone to know that I don't intend to hide my feelings for you anymore. I want everyone to know how determined I am to fight for a second chance."

I saw the impact of my words on Manuela's face. She looked surprised as if trying to process everything.

"And what if I say I'm not willing to give you a second chance?" Her voice was hesitant, but f
