Chapter 47

Chloe followed Edward and Hans to the police station at Samuel's suggestion. They were both naturally curious why her husband suddenly ordered the police to arrest Nicholas, who incidentally was Edward's confidant all along. In her mind, did that man have anything to do with the chaos in the meeting room a few days ago? Or there was another problem that Nicholas did until Edward reported the man to the police. 

"Ah ... you're curious too?" In a sarcastic tone, Edward, standing in front of the examination room, rebuked Chloe, who had just arrived. It was nice to be cold and curt at that woman. 

"Ed ... stop acting like this. I know I've disappointed you." 

Edward smiled. "I was behaving the way I should. Just the way you used to treat me." Chloe chose not to respond anymore.

The next second, Hans was heard calling from inside the investigation room. "Ed, you have to come in. The officer wants to ask you to explain."
