Chapter 9
Cara's POV
It was a dream. I could feel it.
I was in the woods, right where I had seen the strange figure, but this time I was all alone.
"Rollins!" I called into the darkness, but there was no response. "Rollins!!" I called louder, and still nothing.
Then I heard the movement; someone or something was coming. The figure came into view—the pale white skin, too white to belong to a human—and those red eyes were way too real.
"We would take him away from you, Luna, and it would all be your fault."
"You can't harm him," I say, trying to sound bold. At this point, I didn't feel as brave anymore.
"Oh, we can, and we would."
"What are you?" I asked, staring into the darkness. The figure was surreal.
It ignored my question. "We would have let him be; if it weren't for you, it is all your fault for coming back to life; you were supposed to be dead; now the pack would no longer have an Alpha."
