"If he fucking hurts her, I will kill him," I growled.

"Being your usual protective Luna, I guess, but there is no need for that; you are not a threat, not with you down here—I don't think you ever actually were."

"Then why inject me with wolf's bane? Why leave me here? You are afraid of me. I know what my blood does to you. When I look at you, do you know what I see?" I asked, not waiting for his response before continuing.

"I see the little vampire prince, rejected by everyone, and he became the villain, just so he could turn back to the people who laughed at him and show them that he came back better. I see the little boy in need of love and didn't get it. Deep down, you are only a scared little child, and me being alive threatens the last thing you could hold onto," I say, smirking. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned his past right here, but his eyes were cold and distant, and I didn't get the reaction I wanted from him.
